John and I had the holiday of our dreams trekking with you. You went to so much trouble to make it a great experience. I couldn't believe how you knew which path to take when they all looked the same. I loved the way you could match the trek to fitness levels and areas of interest. You are a great guide for all ages and all interests. Helen

Hem gave us the holiday we had been hoping for. Lots of villages and people living their daily lives. We didn't want to climb to great heights and see snow and rock - we just wanted to see the people. And they were so unbelievably friendly. We had a ball. Thanks Hem. John

Hello Hem,

How are you?
How was your last trekking?
We just finished the three days of Yoga.

Please, write us some news.

Nicolas

Hallo,

Irene u. Jochen Schneider, Berlin,

Hem was an amazing guide. I was traveling alone and he added that spark to make my trip up to Poon Hill (beautiful view of Annapurna) that much more memorable. With a quick wit and charmingly open character, I couldn't ask for better companionship on what was for me, a definite highlight during my trip to the subcontinent. From his courteous rapport with each of the teahouse staff members to his wide grin, he made me feel like I got the 'complete' trekking experience. I only wish I had had more time to hang out!

His best quote to me was: "You, you think too much. You just need to dance!" [cue infectious smile and a little jig on the trail]

Thanks Hem!

My girlfriend and I have just returned from trekking in Nepal with Hem, this is the first time we have met Hem We sent money in advance and paid him up front on arrival. we had no problems doing this, he was 110% reliable and is fully concious that reliability is the key to future work. he arranged a trek that mirrored our requirements from our emails, he has an excellent sense of humour, anempathy for your needs and will work around any itinery you require. He is capable of managing groups and I would not hesitate to recommend him to a lady traveling alone, excellent guide and knows the area well.

Marty and I chose Hem through a Google search for Tea House
Treks, and I don't know how we could have made a better choice for a guide. He was always attentive to our wishes and needs, and never failed to do the little extra things to make our trek the experience we hoped for. The highlights were an overnight in Jhong and trekking with his "little" brother Toulasi.

My husband and I went trekking with Hem in May of 2010. We selected him after searching for trekking guides and tea house trekking on the Internet. We were very pleased with the speed with which he responded (faster than any other of the guides we contacted) regarding the dates we wanted to trek and length of trek. He gave us several options all of which looked really good.

He was/is very flexible with every aspect of a trek and how it gets put together. We were impressed that he met us at the airport in Pokhara, went took us immediately to get our entry permits for the Annapurna Conservation Area. He attended to more details than we had expected he might and even assisted our traveling companions who were not even trekking!

On our trek he was constantly monitoring how we were feeling and any needs we might have (very important when you are gaining over 1000m in one day). He made sure we were well hydrated and were trekking a pace that was comfortable for us (very important for adults approaching 70).

We would recommend him without hesitation! He absolutely has to be one of the very best guides out there. And besides that, he is great company and has a great sense of humor! We will trek again!

Thank you, Hem, for a wonderful trek that has given us so many memories!

I am from Canada. I and my family (total 9 of us) trekked Annapurna region with Hem for four days. I was very skeptical initially as to how tough and rough it was going to be but Hem made it very enjoyable and relaxing. Hem is very knowledgable, patient and humerous. He does have a very good rapport with with other guides, tea house owners where we stayed over night. We had lots of fun dancing, singing etc. (memory of a lifetime. Hem made sure that all of us are comfortable at all time. Beside trekking, Hem can also arrange paragliding etc. I would highly recommend Hem. If anybody has any questions, you may contact me at anu_hou@hotmail.com.

It may arise a question in your mind, Dolpo or Dolpa? But it is very simple, that in Tibetan language Tolbo was permuted into Dolpo and people inhabitant in Upper Dolpo region is called Dolpo Pa. Later on, Dolpo is turned into Dolpa. These days Dolpa and Dolpo both are popular. Especially Dolpo is popular among foreigners and Dolpa famous among Nepalese people.

Dolpo is the largest district of Nepal, and one of the ten districts of province No. 6. Dunai is the district headquarters of Dolpo. Recently the federal system, Dolpo comprises two municipalities and 4 villages Development Committee.

Thank you for share this blog Dolpo Treks
